Community Visioning Workshop #2

Saturday, August 23rd's Visioning Workshop was the second of two community-wide meetings designed to help the community develop a vision for Mountain View's future. Close to 200 community members participated in the event, making it a great success! Thank you to everyone who attended and to City staff, project team members and open house participants for their valuable contributions.

Participants had the opportunity to view a presentation that provided an overview of the visioning process to date and the draft community vision statement. Attendees shared their feedback related to the draft vision statement. As part of the workshop presentation, the project team also discussed areas appropriate for change in the city and provided visuals to help depict the potential character of future development in these areas.

During the workshop, participants engaged in lively and meaningful group discussions related to future land use and the character of future development and open space. Mountain View community members also weighed in on which areas they believe the City should prioritize as key focus areas for potential change. The results of the Visioning Meeting will be used to create a planning framework for the General Plan Update process.
